Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th, The House of Dandridge will be teaming up with Lemonade Social to create a virtual festival featuring local NYC and international singer-songwriters, DJs, musicians, burlesque performers, drag artists and more to showcase their talents and creativity to a larger audience all in the name of Pride. A lot of focus in the LGBTQ community has solely been on drag, with the momentous rise in popularity of Rupaul’s Drag Race, but the beauty and creativity within our community comes not only in the much heralded artform of drag, but in all forms of art, expression, gender identity, race and discipline. About three weeks ago, the idea came to me. Why not pull all my resources together and create a way for all of the performers I know, and some I have yet to know, to celebrate Pride together virtually? The Kaleidoscope Virtual Pride Festival was born. Through this quarantine and pandemic, I have become very familiar with various online apps and outlets to broadcast performances and DJ sets to the masses. Then, through a friend, I was introduced to the new Lemonade Social experience. We plan to throw all of that magic into a cauldron and cast a spell on all of our viewers for an experience they won’t forget without even leaving their home. We welcome YOU to The 2020 KALEIDOSCOPE Pride Festival!For a small fee of $5, attendees will unlock the experience and gain access to a RABBLE Room featuring DJ sets and prerecorded performances as well as an exclusive FLUTTER ZOOM room with five full hours of wonderfully curated live performances, prerecorded delights and content from local non-profits and activist organizations to make this event not only entertaining, but informative and inspiring in true House Of Dandridge fashion!This event was created by the artists and for the artists. All money raised by ticket sales will be distributed to each performer. If you enjoy what you see, you will also be able to add money to your contribution as a ‘tip’ and that amount will be divided up amongst the fantastic roster of talent. We have no corporate sponsors, therefore we have ultimate creative freedom to fly without the chains of censorship.
